Top tips

Ready to make your mark at the Ground Engineering Awards? Follow our expert tips to ensure your entry stands out and gives you the best chance of success.

Tell Your Story - Your entry should clearly explain the project's or initiative’s unique qualities and impact. Provide a compelling narrative that showcases your achievements, challenges overcome, and measurable results.

Focus on Innovation - The judges are looking for creativity and forward-thinking approaches. Highlight any cutting-edge techniques, technologies, or strategies used and explain how they’ve benefited your project or business.

Provide Evidence - Back up your claims with data and real-world outcomes. Whether it’s improved performance, cost savings, or sustainability achievements, show your success through clear metrics and examples.

Get the Right Team Involved - Involve your team when preparing your entry. Gather insights from different departments to ensure a well-rounded and detailed submission that covers all aspects of the project.

Don’t Forget the People - Ground Engineering is as much about the people behind the projects as the projects themselves. Shine a spotlight on your team’s efforts, collaboration, and individual contributions that made a difference.

Keep It Clear and Concise - Judges will be reviewing a lot of entries, so clarity is key. Avoid jargon, keep your answers focused, and make sure you address the category criteria directly.

Start Early - Rushed entries rarely win. Begin the process early, allowing plenty of time to gather information, review, and refine your submission.

Show Your Commitment to the Industry - Demonstrate how your project, innovation, or initiative contributes to the wider ground engineering industry, whether through sustainability, health and safety, or pushing industry standards forward.

Proofread and Polish - Finally, ensure your entry is professional, well-written, and free from errors. Have someone else read it through to catch anything you might have missed.

Good luck! We can’t wait to see what you’ve achieved. Submit your entry now  and join the celebration of excellence at the GE Awards!
