I completed an undergraduate degree in geological sciences at Cambridge and an MSc in Engineering Geology at Leeds. I have since gained chartered geologist status, specialising for the last 12.5 years in underground construction works, and I am currently working towards chartership as a civil engineer. I am an experienced onsite manager of tunnelling and geotechnical works, including SCL and TBM tunnel production in a broad range of ground conditions from soft clays and running sands to hard rock. I also have experience in quantity and cost estimation for shaft sinking and underground cavern construction, onsite design supervision of SCL works and design integration for mechanical/electrical works for shaft/tunnel fitout.
