Francesco has 20 years’ experience matured on a broad range of national and international building and infrastructure projects, from high-level feasibility and optioneering assessments to detailed design and independent technical reviews. Since 2016, as an Associate Geotechnical Engineer in AECOM, he has been acting as Technical Lead, Specialist Advisor and Lead Verifier on a wide range of projects, predominantly in the Ports and Marine and Nuclear Defence sectors. Notable projects he has worked on as Team Leader are Thames Tideway Tunnel in the UK, NEOM Spine in KSA, the Portonave Container Terminal in Brazil, and more recently the Devonport 10 Dock Water Retaining Boundary and Buildings concept, scheme and detailed design, including advanced dynamic Soil-Structure Interaction Analysis and seismic design of piled foundations. He is also the Technical Practice Lead for Numerical Modelling.
