Richard Goodey - Associate Head of School of Engineering and the Environment, Kingston University London.

On completion of his PhD at Brunel University, Richard moved to City, University of London to work on an EPSRC funded project investigating the control of movements arising from deep basement construction.  Following this he spent time working for a specialist geotechnical consultancy before returning to City, University of London as a lecturer in 2007.  His main area of research is in urban construction processes particularly in the assessment and mitigation of ground movements generated by activities such as tunnelling, shaft sinking and deep foundation construction.  He is particularly focussed on the impact these activities have on existing infrastructure.  He moved to Kingston University at the end of 2020 as Associate Professor and Associate Head of School.
