A geotechnical engineer with more than 40 years’ experience, Christina is part of the Tunnel and Ground Engineering (TGE) Leadership team in Jacobs. Based in Birmingham, Christina is responsible as TGE Advisor for a wide range of transport and flood defense infrastructure projects in the UK and for the Learning and Development strategy for the TGE group in the UK. Christina is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, a UK Registered Ground Engineering Adviser and Visiting Professor of Asset Management at the University of Birmingham. She contributes to various geotechnical research programmes at the University of Birmingham and is on the Impact Advisory Group of the ACHILLES research programme on the resilience of infrastructure earthworks. Christina was elected chair of the Midlands Geotechnical Society 2003/4, then chair of ICE WM in 2004/5 and received the inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award at the European Women in Construction and Engineering Awards 2015.
