Alice is an Associate and team leader in Arup’s London geotechnical group. She has experience in geotechnical design and checking for maritime and rail infrastructure, urban commercial and domestic basements and near shore structures. She has worked on projects encompassing a range of ground conditions in London, Hong Kong, Bangkok, the UAE, The Philippines and Indonesia. Her technical skills include foundation re-use, design of retaining walls, rafts and piles, desk studies, site investigation, data interpretation, building damage assessment, geotechnical monitoring and site supervision. Alice is passionate about the practical implementation of sustainability, climate change mitigation and resilience on projects. Alongside her geotechnical design work, Alice leads the carbon management team for HS2 Euston station, managing carbon through multidisciplinary design, in accordance with PAS 2080. She is becoming increasingly interested in carbon sequestration through land use.
