Tim is the project geotechnical engineer on the Tideway Tunnel on secondment from Jacobs. He is a chartered geologist and engineer with over 30 years’ experience in geology and geotechnics and a PhD in the causes of confined spaced hypoxia during underground construction in the Lambeth Group. He started his career as a mining geologist in Australia and Botswana then spent several years with Taylor Woodrow working on a number of chalk tunnels, as well as the Jubilee Line Extension (Contract 104). More recently, Tim worked for Thames Water on their Ring Main extension tunnels and has worked on the Tideway/Lee Tunnel projects since their beginnings.
