Liz is a Chartered Geologist with over 25 years’ experience in site investigation and geotechnical engineering, having worked for site investigation contractors and geotechnical consultants across the UK.
Liz joined CampbellReith in 1999 to set up the geotechnical division. She is now the Partner responsible for the technical delivery of a team of engineering geologists, geotechnical engineers and civil engineers, as well as the development of geotechnical services within the Practice.
Under her supervision, the team provides geotechnical design advice for a wide variety of construction projects, designing ground investigations, preparing GDRs and ground movement assessments, and undertaking detailed design and Cat III checks for all aspects of below ground construction. She has also advised on the geotechnical aspects of numerous regeneration and remediation projects.
CampbellReith is currently involved in geotechnical and geo-environmental projects in the UK and abroad and Liz also manages the framework agreement with Camden to provide independent audits for Basement Impact Assessments. Current projects include a land raising and surcharging project in Surrey over an 18m deep landfill, a chalk slope stabilisation project near Croydon and the assessment of the impacts of development over Crossrail.
Liz is a keen supporter of mentoring and training and has supported the GE awards for a number of years both as an entrant and as a judge, recognising their role in raising the profile of the ground engineering industry and its professionals. As well as presenting to structural engineering colleagues to assist in their preparation for the IStructE and ICE chartership examinations, Liz is registered with the Women in Property mentoring programme and is a judge in the Women in Construction and Engineering (WICE) awards.
