Martin is part of the Power Station Programme Design Authority and is accountable for the requirements, review and acceptance of the Structures, Plant Arrangement and Civil Engineering for the complete asset lifecycle. Martin brings together and leads teams covering Structures and Architecture, Civil Engineering and Site Plan, and Ground Engineering augmented with expertise from discipline engineers and scientists from our extensive supply chain for this nuclear new build programme.
Appointed to Horizon Nuclear Power in 2014, Martin has over 25 years’ experience in technical and management roles within both delivery and client organisations across the full asset lifecycle. Martin brings to Horizon his experience of working within various regulated environments utilising various Contract mechanisms to deliver projects in both commercial and government sectors. Martin’s portfolio of projects includes stadiums, business parks and offices, dockyards, schools, hospitals, secure facilities, housing, production facilities, railway infrastructure, highways, bridges, laboratories, and power stations.
Martin began his career as a technician following vocational courses prior to undertaking his degree in Civil Engineering and postgraduate qualifications in management. Martin is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers, the Institution of Structural Engineers and the Association of Project Management.
