Emily Riley is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Project Manager at Stantec, with 10 years’ experience across design, construction and project management. With a background in geotechnical engineering, she has worked on major UK infrastructure projects including HS2, Tideway and complex water infrastructure schemes. Emily is also a Trustee of the British Geotechnical Association and has been recognised for her contribution to the ground engineering profession, including being named one of Ground Engineering’s Top 20 Most Inspirational Women in 2024. She is passionate about supporting the development of early-career engineers, promoting collaboration across the industry and bringing together strong technical understanding with effective project leadership. Throughout her career, Emily has gained experience working across multidisciplinary teams, contractors and clients, with a particular focus on delivering technically complex infrastructure projects and developing positive, collaborative relationships between project stakeholders.
