Arabel is a chartered principal geotechnical and tunnel engineer who has worked on major UK and international infrastructure projects across geotechnics, tunnelling, mining, civil and nuclear ground engineering. Her experience spans ground risk management, numerical modelling, design assurance and multidisciplinary coordination on major projects such as SZC, HS2, Thames Tideway Tunnel, Melbourne Metro and Lower Thames Crossing. More recently, at Amentum, she supports critical, highly regulated nuclear and defence infrastructure projects within the Energy & Environment International Group. Her influence extends beyond project delivery. Arabel served as the Chair of the British Tunnelling Society Young Members (BTSYM) for the 2024/25 term and is now a Trustee of the BTS, championing diversity, mentoring, and digital innovation across the ground engineering community in the UK and internationally. Arabel is recognised for driving innovation and continuous improvement, and her work reflects curiosity, leadership, and a strategic vision for the future of ground engineering.
