UK Project with a Geotechnical Value of up to £1M - GE Awards 2021
This is for a ground engineering scheme (as a standalone project or part of a larger development) with a contract value of less than £1M that stands out in terms of its credentials in innovation, quality, sustainability, health and safety and value engineering.
The entrant must explain and provide evidence to demonstrate what exceptional measures were taken or innovative techniques used to result in the project being delivered above the expected standard. A key element in deciding the winner will be the contribution of the entrant to the overall delivery of a project.
The geotechnical element of the work must be completed at the time of entry submission and is for work completed between January 2020 and July 20201.
We recognise that the Covid-19 pandemic might have had an adverse effect on some companies, initiatives and projects. We still strongly encourage companies and teams to enter this year’s GE Awards, as their pandemic response strategy will also be considered in the judging.
Key criteria:
- Innovative design to overcome a significant geotechnical challenge
- Demonstration of delivery of value and quality for the client
- Use of innovative techniques and exceptional measures to deliver technical excellence
- Efficient and collaborative delivery through close relationships with the client and supply chain
Each entry should be supported by a maximum of two images and one diagram. Images should be in landscape, more than 1MB in size, in jpeg/png format and should not be edited to include details of the category or the name/logo of the company entering (or any other annotations). Additional text (other than diagram annotation) included in supporting documents will not be used by the judging panel. The images might be used in marketing material and featured in Ground Engineering.
