Rachel Monteith has over 35 years’ geotechnical experience in specialist contracting, main contracting, and consultancy.  Her happy place includes optimising designs for deep basements and heavy foundations, reusing existing foundations, and implementing I&M to validate work today and to improve geotechnical work in the future.    

Rachel works with the brilliant group of geoengineering professionals that make up Buro Happold Ground Engineering.  Together the team carries out work on an amazing range of projects in the UK and around the world.  This includes everything from foundations for iconic structures and vast master-planning exercises through to tiny community projects.
