Iain is a Principal Geotechnical Engineer in the Transportation Department of the Welsh Government. A Chartered Geologist and Chartered Engineer, he has over 20 years’ experience working on civil engineering projects throughout the UK and Ireland. During this time he has worked for ground investigation contractors, geophysical surveying companies and consultant engineers, principally in the transportation sector. Now working for an overseeing organisation, he is responsible for the geotechnical assets associated with the Strategic Road Network in Wales and has spent the last ten years specialising in asset management.
