Christos is a Chartered Engineer (IOM3), Chartered Geologist (CGeol), and RoGEP Specialist in the UK with over 27 years of professional experience. He is leading the TRC UK geotechnical team.
His professional duties include desk studies, design, and supervision of ground investigation, GIRs, GDRs, foundation design, slope stability analysis, mining risk assessments, ground movement and basement impact assessments, earthworks design, contract management, cat3 checks.
His work experience spans major infrastructure projects, commercial and residential developments, redevelopment of brownfield sites, and structures such as tunnels, bridges, buildings and retaining walls, in the UK, Greece, New Zealand, and Nigeria.
Christos says that over the years, experience has shown that there is no site similar to others when dealing with the ground hazards and engineering solutions shall focus on the site-specific ground model, the project-specific design and sustainability requirements, and client’s needs for the task at hand.
He is volunteering in assessing new applicants applying to enter the RoGEP of the ICE UK and by participating in the AGS Geotechnical Working Group. Recently, he has been proposed by AGS to act as the liaison between the AGS and IOM3 Geotechnical Groups in an attempt to coordinate their future collaboration on professional and technical matters of common interest.
