Dr. Vincent Nyambayo is a Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Atkins and has more than 25 years international design and site supervision experience in civil and geotechnical engineering works. Notable recent projects that he has worked on include Crossrail and West Anglia Mainline Upgrade. He holds a PhD in Soil Mechanics from Imperial College London. His doctoral thesis involved development of a novel methodology for simulating pore pressures induced by vegetation and progressive failure of slopes, using numerical modelling. Vincent is a member of ISSMGE’s technical committee TC302 (Forensic Geotechnics), BGA’s Executive Committee and the Editorial Board of Ground Engineering magazine.
