Mark is a Chief Geotechnical Engineer who is Atkins’ Discipline Lead for Seismic Geotechnics and also the Market Sector Lead for Nuclear and Defence projects. He has over 15 years’ experience working on and managing a range of sensitive projects in the nuclear, defence, oil & gas, dams and building development sectors both in the UK and internationally. Mark leads a team of more than 20+ specialists and is currently working on the Sizewell C Nuclear New Build project. In addition, he is an elected committee member of the Society for Earthquake and Civil Engineering Dynamics (SECED) and in his spare time volunteers as a qualified Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) Technician and Engineer with the UK charity SARAID and helps deliver Operational Management Courses for the EU Civil Protection Mechanism.
