Kirstie is a Chartered Civil Engineer and Registered Ground Engineering Professional with over 10 years’ experience. Having started her career in specialist geotechnical contracting, where she delivered a range of projects and co-wrote a paper on base grouted piles for the Farringdon Crossrail western ticket hall. Kirstie moved into main contracting, leading the successful tender for the S2 Contract of the HS2 Main Civils Works with the SCS joint venture, followed by leading two enabling works packages. Kirstie moved from industry into academia, to pass on her passion and enthusiasm for Geotechnics and civil engineering. She is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Hertfordshire, specialising in soil mechanics and geotechnical design as well as construction management. Kirstie is also an ICE mentor and a registered reviewer for candidates sitting the chartered professional review.
