Iain McKenzie is the Principal Geotechnical Engineer in the Transportation Department of the Welsh Government. A Chartered Geologist and Chartered Engineer, he has over 18 years’ experience working on civil engineering projects throughout the UK and Ireland. In this time he has worked for ground investigation contractors, geophysical surveying companies and consultant engineers, principally in the transportation and energy sectors. Now working for an overseeing organisations, he is responsible for the geotechnical assets associated with the trunk road and motorway network in Wales and has spent the last seven years specialising in asset management
