Gary is an experienced instrumentation and monitoring professional, specialising in geotechnics. He completed an MSc at Imperial College in Soil Mechanics and a BSc at UEL in Civil Engineering and Surveying. He has served as a co-opted member of the BGA Executive Committee and was the Co-chair of the BGA Early Careers Group. He is also an active mentor. He has worked on and managed major geotechnical and structural monitoring schemes and ground investigations on over a hundred different projects in the UK and abroad over the last 19 years. These include HS2, NLE, Crossrail C300/C310/C410/C435/C502), Heathrow T2B & 5, Hinckley Point C, Claridges and major sewers in London.
