David is a Geotechnical Subject Matter Expert working for BP and has over 25 years’ experience working in the geotechnical industry. David graduated from Imperial College with a MSc in Engineering Geology in 1999 and subsequently moved to Hong Kong before returning to the UK in 2004. During this time David was involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from the Natural Terrain Hazard Assessments in Hong Kong, to Design Manager for London 2012 Olympic Park Geotechnical site investigations, to Project Manager and Technical Lead responsible for the review of landslide hazards along approximately 1076 km of pipeline in Turkey. In 2012 David joined BPs geotechnical team, where he is currently involved in onshore energy projects, providing geotechnical and geohazard management and technical assurance. David is currently supporting bp in their energy transition, through leading teams assessing the suitability of sites for export hydrogen hubs across the globe.
